    That motherfucker Al Gore destroys everything he doesn't touch. Look at what he did to our country over the last 8 years. And now he destroys Plenty? That rotten son of a bitch.

    @lastcigaretteme: I think it's funny when people cut down thousands of trees to make a magazine about a better environment. Get it? That's irony.

    can someone please explain the difference between this and newspapers/magazines?

    Josh Karp's next company after the Printed Blog fails? A company that prints out your emails for you and FedEx's them to your home and office. "A busy professional doesn't have time to look at his emails on a computer" says Karp. "They want it offline and in front of them in this go go go world."

    From interview with Spy guy: "I think my friends out here (of whom I have a lot, I realized when I culled my address book last week) are, on average, as smart and cultured and interesting as my friends in New York."

    @TempleDrake: @MattGaymon: Really? You know this is the snark website right? And before you even launch into the whole "that comment lacked wit which is the trademark of this place" argument, let me first show you how sausage is made.

    Anyway, the comment was actually pretty tame and I believe that much worse has been yelled at her from a dozen Manhattan corners and/or cabs over the years. That being said, it's too bad she doesn't have a job. Best of luck to her.

    @saythatscool: Yeah, really. I mean it. I don't think "She makes me unhappy" is really snarky, funny, or interesting. It's just lame. She looks like that on purpose. It's not some kind of depressing biological accident, and it's not indicitive of her current state of mental health. If Lynn Yaeger makes you sad, you have bigger problems than me saying fuck you.

    PS: Fuck you too.

    I can understand aggressively suggesting retirement to a writer who has long ago lost their edge and is being kept on for sentimental reasons. I don't think Lynn Yaeger falls into that category. Let's face it, the Village Voice is a shadow of it's former self. She will find a home somewhere else.

    Maybe she and Gael Greene can put together their own team of media olds and launch something fabulous.

    @TempleDrake: If she is indeed a "fucking awesome" person, then she would have a sense of humor about looking like that on purpose, and not take herself as seriously as you do. People who don't know her personally find it disquieting that her choice of hair and makeup is intentional. So what?

    @TempleDrake:

    I didn't make the comment, and I've read on Gawker in the past that Ms. Yeager's a pretty interesting person, but I don't see how someone who plainly dresses to provoke can be heard to complain that she succeeded.
