Once again, there were mistakes, tragedy and sorrow in his life, much like the rest of us. Like Ted Kennedy, he had issues that could not be reversed, yet they both still managed to achieve many of their loftier goals. Each in his respective field of expertise.
Michael earned hundreds of millions of dollars in his lifetime, and although there were financial difficulties at his death, they will soon be rectified and squared away.
I choose to remember the great music, exquisite visuals, the generosity of creating Neverland and constantly opening it up to the less fortunate. Going there was a magical experience with all the candy, ice cream, rides, etc. Any kids dream come true. Just to point out, the enormous cost to Michael for the creation and upkeep of Neverland was in his mind worth it just to see the smiles on the kids faces who, yes, went there and had a magnificent time.
He traveled the world and knew his mere presence to some kids was a healing experience and he gave of himself tirelessly.
His lyrics were also geared towards improving the human condition as well as our planet. He was an easy target for people's scorn as he was victime to the twisted circumstances and abberations of the human mind. With a healthy dose of enabling and parasitic relationships.
His contributions to music, entertainment, dance, showmanship can never be denied. Nor can any living thing be stagnant and remain exactly the same forever. Now he can finally rest in peace. His life is a great American story.

As for McCauley Culkin, it was rumored he was the father of Prince I, but he would have been 16 at the time of the 'donation", and that would have been super creepy.
