It's been well established that I have a strong attraction for at-times inappropriate, uncouth, and usually drunken cads. So this Kiefer Sutherland news has me currently catching the vapors.
I know he has money, lots of it, but I have never understood why/how Billy Joel gets so many chicks. Rich, yes, but he's a drunk and he looks like Billy Joel.
@Trixie from Toronto: Also - he doesn't seem like that much fun to be around. He had a bike built on American Chopper and he came off as a real jerk ass.
@Trixie from Toronto: My godmother's ex owns this shipbuilding business with him and he seems like a nice enough guy when he's not drinking. I think the major draw is that he wrote "Only The Good Die Young", which seems to be the sexiest song ever if you are a middle-class white girl.
Rebound girl, she's been livin' in her soap star world. I bet she's never had a thrice-married guy, I bet she never got a DUI. I'm gonna try for a rebound girl.
@scroll_lock: Katie said goodbye to me tonight -- one more alimony check to write. Who else should I do? Alex, come here and let’s screw! I haven't had sex for the longest time.
Though nothing can touch "I bet she never had a DUI." That's genius!

Ho boy. The Mirror maybe should've done a little googling about Omer Bhatti: it turns out he was questioned by investigators about porn and "Jesus Juice" in the last round of sexual abuse allegations: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/michaeljackson/0227051jacksonsexed1.html
@Dickdogfood: Entertainment shows last night said he and his parents moved in with michael after michael foung the child "fasinating". They moved from asia - into neverland. It may be his "love child" but a totally different definition of such.
@Queen of the Passive Aggressives: Why would the family place him in a prominent spot at the funeral if this was going to pop up? I am sure there was another seat he could have sat in that would have avoided any speculation as to his involvement with Michael? This total lack of awareness is ridiculous for a family that has lived in the spotlight!
@TriedandTrue: Maybe they just want to have him join a jackson tour - I'm not kidding...they are greedy folks and this kid could stand up front and represent michael. Then when he's a little older they can add Blanket as the "young" michael. I'm seeing a 5 year vegas run here.
@polypam: I so want this to be true: some possibly gay Euro kid copies dad's moves and raps over his 90s beats? Amazing. But it just looks like another copycat kid to me.
Who knows why he was front row at the funeral. Maybe he's become good friends with the family.
Memo to the Limies (sp?): Just because someone's distantly related to a president, doesn't mean he's got "presidential" blood or is likely to end up president (Bushes aside), at least not without buying the office or being appointed by a pliant Supreme Court. So no, smashing someone over the head with a voddie bottle is not "not presidential" behavior, it's just felonious assault, or possibly a flagrant waste, depending on whether or not the bottle was empty.
@BookishLookish: La Baker did everything with oodles more class, even dancing around mostly naked on stage and in an era when it was a lot more shocking. Sigh. Nothing ever plays like the original.
I predict an about-face from the judge in the next couple of weeks when the new Bentley with Monopoly money bags in the boot mysteriously appears in his yard.
I've tried to break into Jamie Foxx's hotel room several times as well, but it was only so I could get him to explain to me just why, exactly, he's a celebrity.
@Private Hangnail: He had some head shots taken which I believe qualifies one as a card carrying celebrity. That's when they issue you the shades and you're featured with your first splooge item on Perez.
@scroll_lock: I walk around with splooge already on my clothes and face, just to save Perez the time when I get all famous. For some odd reason, I'm always getting arrested when I walk by schools and playgrounds.
@Private Hangnail: They don't understand conceptual art, the heathens- (much like Andy Warhol's "Piss Paintings" were reviled as vulgar whereas now they are considered the height of excretory expressionism).
@scroll_lock: What's more terrifying is that our public schools are teaching children to fear jizz-splattered artists. What about the future of expression in this country?
@Private Hangnail: A bleak, terrifying Thomas Kinkadeâ„¢ worshipping generation is on the horizon. By the way, those Franklin Mint Obama commemorative hologram plaques I bought you should arrive early next week.
@scroll_lock: Painter of light, my jizz-soaked trousers. Are they sending the one where Obama casts out the moneylenders from the General Motors building? Or is it the series of him and all the kittens?
@Private Hangnail: It's got both of those plus the one where he performs the miracles correcting Paris Hilton's wonky eye and raises Leif Garrett's career from the dead.
I'm actually glad that madonna was turned down. Her public behavior doesn't show someone who is providing a stable environment (David was adopted, and has managed to lose (another?) father by moving to NY while his adoptive father remains in England.
Madonna built a reputation for herself, and for as much as it makes me feel 900 years old to say this, I'm glad that she is finding that you can't just go to another country and pick out children like handbags.
The little girl will be shielded from the media zoo she was about to fall into.
@meg9: Yes, and she has the privilege of spending the rest of her childhood in an orphanage in Africa. I'm sure that Mercy, hearing of this "media zoo", is grateful for the obdurate poverty that will shield her for the rest of her days.
@Private Hangnail: Well, why not just make it easier for Mercy's immediate family to take her back to live with them? The same goes for David. If she really wanted to help him, she could have just supported David's Father and allowed David to go back to him. It's just strange that out of all of the orphans in that village, Madonna has (twice) chosen children with living relatives who simply cannot afford to keep them.
@meg9: It seems if you have a parent die that you put the child in the orphanage then move on with your life. The orphangae seems like a safe and caring environment but what happens when they are older? Save The Children has a problem with madonna's hand picking her brood and I can understand. Maybe it would be better for her to sponsor some of the children who are older to go to boarding schools outside malawi and have the chance for a better life internationally, on their own terms when they graduate. I think Madge is the same as Angelina and they can't just give to these charities, they have to wear the children like badges making up for their incomplete lives.
@Queen of the Passive Aggressives: You're so right. I mean, why can't people just NOT adopt children and instead donate money? Jeez. People are soooo selfish!
@XavierLucage: That's what makes me think she's trying to buy an accessory (so much cooler than "Baby Alive"), rather than trying to make a poor (variously defined) kid's life better.
