My grandfather came to this country with a PhD in Economics from the University of Florence, import-export business experience, and speaking six languages. The economy was even more in the toilet then. He got a job working on the floor in a factory with a bunch of rough-ass garmentos and was glad to have it. Man up, you jerks, and get to work.

it is also true new technology is turning a lot of people into dead weight no matter how great they are
the secretaries in my office have less and less to do because everyone drafts their documents on their computers, emails them instead of fedexes them and on and on
so many industries like publishing and newspaper journalism are becoming outmoded
