The price corrected in under 4 minutes... and for every high-frequency-trading algorithm that got robbed of that 1%, there was another algorithm that struck it rich.

If you're average holding period of a stock is 3 minutes, then this caused damage. Otherwise you wouldn't notice. #cnbc

Dennis Kneale is, by far, the biggest tool on CNBC. You should read some of the caustic non-arguments that ooze from him. I'd be against calling him the geek strictly because he isn't very intelligent - if he's working on anything in the basement at all, he's melting army men.

Dude, I love Mark Haines! Yall are such haters. He has the best parka that he puts on when it's really cold and he has to stand outside - it's got one of those fur lined Eskimo hoods and everything.

    Luv u Mark

Haines should move over to Fox Business Channel and join the "Happy Hour" show. He'd get big money to belt back Jamesons and reminisce about how shellacked he got on the day the Dow hit 14000.

I see that cat early A.M. sometimes getting on a ferry. All tore up, three miles of bad road. Splotchy like Tom Skerritt in "Up in Smoke", hair all knotty busting a square @ 7:15. He cleans up well, I guess.
