And because you've given me a chance to clarify my original response; I didn't mean to imply that Will Smith is in the pantheon of great actors, but most people find him watchable and the critics like him.

@Magister: Yeah, but both Meryl and Denzel make A LOT of movies, and not all of them good, so even though they have a lot of plusses, they're balanced out by quite a few minuses. The top ten (with the weird exception of Hanks) star in fewer movies, but they tend to be good ones, so they might have fewer plusses, but almost no minuses, giving them higher scores. #robertebert

I'm a little hard-pressed to think of a badly-reviewed Meryl Streep film and your suggestion might explain the "Nerds of the Rings", but Ethan Hawke?

Not to mention that there was a time, Martin Sheen would be in any movie with a checkbook. He has slowed down some since the the West Wing residuals have been rolling in, but he's still in a lot of films and though he's a very good actor, you can't say that all of his movies have been good.

Wow. Um, wow.

I am amazed that our military can successfully wipe its own collective ass if Commander Gordon can't take being told that he's so ugly shirtless that he made her vomit a little in her mouth. (Can we get a pic of this guy to at least have an idea if she has a point?)

I though military officers were supposed to be... you know... tough. Not whiney little bitches who are so damaged that a meaney-face poo-poo-mouth reporter called them bad names that they would compare it to waterboarding.

My 13 year old niece could take this whiner in a fight. All she'd have to do is call him an ignorant fucktard, then while he's weeping inconsolably in the corner she could cut him *and* steal his rims.

Rosenberg perceived this guy's essential character, without question. How can you doubt it? A crybaby of such monstrous mediocrity and idiocy should be drummed out of the military on general principle. He's a laughable little bureaucratic crybaby. The mirror image of Jack Nicholson's Guantanamo hard-ass. He can't handle the truth: he's barely cut out to be assistant manager at a mall Footlocker. That's why Rosenberg was insulting him to begin with.

And the fact Gawker questions the right of a reporter to be foul-mouthed and belligerent to people of high status is a little sad. This woman's one of the last reporters with balls in the world, apparently.

We do have further info in the fact that the reporter has been aggressively covering this travesty of a situation for some time - a job that can't be easy, and which certainly colors at least _my_ interpretation of this.
