It may have something to do with Milan being a FASHION CAPITOL OF THE WORLD???? (sorry for the caps), Seriously though, they may rank #1 but I still think trends that start on the street here like B-Boy, Hipster, Redneck, Yuppie, etc. will always inspire said #1 stylish place to some capacity.

@Cheap Shot: Milan is booooooooring! A lot of designers unveil in Milan but they aren't getting their inspiration by pondering a bunch of Italian fascist architecture and snobby white Notalians.

Got one thing to say to you, Texas: white fringed midcalf cowboy boots with a stacked heel. Like Milton Berle unfurling only part of his biz, I need go no further.

Has anyone from this trend tracking organization actually been to Milan? All the kids wear Lacoste polos with weird denim and have assymmetrical facial piercings. The women are orange, like cocaine-era Lohan, and look as if they've inherited their wardrobes from their mothers. This is not a fashion-forward city.

this is from austin: Texas sucks. That said, when i returned to NYC from Rome a few years ago, i was shocked at how schlubby everyone looked. America has too much influence on NY fashion.

La bella figura still rules in Italy. Thankfully. And you're right, New York is getting more slovenly each year. Should we blame Texas transplants?@yourfriendandneighbor:

That picture reminds me of the scene in Signs when you finally see the alien. It's not that scary on TV, but if you saw it in real life? You'd shit yourself.

I love that picture of Anna Wintour just walking the streets of Soho wearing haute couture. It doesn't even look like she's carrying a purse. Perhaps her town car kicked her out.

Let's mess with Texas, which of course doesn't have a fashionable bone in its entire Alamo-hustlin', dopey ten gallon hat-wearin', Panhandle-grabbin', Bush 41 / 43-manufacturin', Dallas Cowboy-poopin', No Country For Old Men-producin', rodeo-havin', ugly-ass team color Longhorns-rootin', Mark Cuban-toleratin', incorrect Houston-pronouncin', secede from the Union-wantin' 269,000 square miles.
