Can This Tom Cruise Be Saved? |

Thanks in part to Nick Denton, the public has been able to see how truly crazy and scary Tom Cruise is. It used to be easier for celebrities to keep their private lives under wraps.
For someone of his stature and earning ability to be that bat-shit crazy is note-worthy.
Perhaps the casual observer can forget about his nutty behavior, but I don't think I will EVER be able to watch him in a movie again.
I guess it depends on how much money Tom has in reserve or how desperate he is to work. If he has enough money to survive indefinitely, then he will never have to "face facts." On the other hand, if he needs to work, he will have to accept the unfortunate truth that he dug his own grave and must live with the consequences.

There are 1,000 good-looking actors who could do "OK" as the lead in a movie and "not be such a disaster". What I hate about Tom Cruise is that he gets opportunity after opportunity when there are more deserving, better actors who could do better with his roles, not alienate an audience, and have smaller egos.

Yeah and that the Scientology video did score millions of hits on You Tube, didn't it?

There are plenty of good actors who could do the job Tom Cruise does without the baggage Tom Cruise carries. And now that Tom Cruise isn't exactly bringing in the audiences anymore, without the paycheck Tom Cruise demands.

I can't diss his talent after Magnolias and yes, I do wish I knew less about his beliefs and just got to enjoy some popcorn and blockbuster escapes whilst chewing popcorn.
Can we agree that you can't be mega huge like Cruise or Michael Jackson without going batshit crazy? it seems impossible to keep your sanity with that level of fame.

MI:3 was awesome
I love Vanilla Sky.
Though that Samurai movie was insane what with the overly long improbably ending, it was still kinda good in a Marco Poloesque sort of way.
For some reason, his *kinetic bewilderment* face is sort of awesome. I have no idea why. He's one of the people I'm more fascinated by on screen than off screen. The Off screen Tom Cruise I could care less about.

Oh yeah, no other actor has ever gotten old, crazy and subscribed to a nut-bag religion before.
