"Dreamworks has ordered a script for a live action version of the Japanese animated classic Ghost in the Shell."

You cannot even begin to understand how annoyed this makes me. Die, project, die!!! #u2

U2 sold that % of the touring money that would be profit to Live Nation last year for over $100M in their 360 deal. They got more than compensated for an 'unprofitable' tour. #u2

U2 loses money on every show, but they are making it up in volume. Who says musicians make bad businessmen? #u2

Unfortunately, it's Saw 6, not Saw 4. Perhaps you transposed your roman numerals.

U2 won't be the first band that found an insanely elaborate stage to be a financial albatross. About 35 years ago, the Grateful Dead found that their Wall of Sound setup was eating up every nickel they made from concerts.

There were two full sets of equipment, because the Wall took so long to assemble and break down. While one batch of gear was in use at one run of shows, the second crew would be loading in at the next venue. It was a leapfrog arrangement that might have worked if 1974 hadn't been the year of the first spike in oil prices. #u2

Don't watch NCIS, but I am indeed quite happy with the other three. I did not have high hopes for this season of TV but I've been very pleasantly surprised, which hasn't happened in as long as I can remember. This is especially wonderful since there hasn't been a movie I've wanted to see in theaters since Slumdog Millionaire.

    Also, little correction--it's Saw 6, not Saw 4. #u2

I'm trying to find a reason to care about Bono having money problems, but I'm just not able to do it. #u2

@drunkexpatwriter: There's no suggestion of his having money problems in this post, so don't worry--you don't have to care about a thing! He can still afford to buy you and everyone you know and still save Africa, or whatever it is he's doing on the side these days.
