    What a shame to hear about Christine Hauser. I know she recently became pregnant, few months ago maybe. I believe she was on maternity leave.

    @If_I_Had_a_Poodle: Yeah, I would think so. But I know for a fact that she was pregnant at some point in the past three months. And if you do a search under her byline on the Times site, it shows that she went from writing on an almost daily basis to suddenly writing almost nothing at all beginning in October (about two and a half months ago).
