I guess it's redundant now, especially considering HE'S president and she's actually more popular than him (poor bastard...not conservative enough for the neo-con fuckers and certainly not aggressive enough a Democrat for me, and I'm pretty centrist on everything but the stuff religious right-wingers tamper with). I guess that's not unusual--the First Lady making a better impression than the guy who's always making SOMEONE unhappy.

It'd do no good now, but I'd like to know what she thinks, above and beyond her beautiful healthy children and dog or the White House garden. I have a vague idea--probably pretty close to what he thinks (what is that, now)....right? She's doing the usual, adding a soft touch to his presidency by playing up service, military families...things that certainly deserve attention, but these are things that the matron of the most despicable White House couple could play up safely. Who is she?

She's still interviewed on talk shows, even though the campaign is over, and I heard at least ONCE from a professor they both had that they thought SHE'D be the one running for office someday. #barackobama

Right, and they blame internet for the death of newspapers... #obama

Q: Working for Fox, have you ever witnessed any book burnings, KKK rallies or Glenn Beck kiddie porn parties?

A: No, that atmosphere exists at the news division only. At the entertainment division it’s a very liberal atmosphere. It might as well be two separate companies.

(Actual Presumptuous Question: Do you feel out of place at Fox because of the politically conservative atmosphere? Is that a bond between you and Groening?)

Q: Based on these questions, would you imagine I've ever seen a single episode of "Family Guy?"

A: I would highly doubt it.

(Actual Question: "Family Guy" has been nominated for an Emmy for best comedy series. Do you expect to win an award next Sunday?)

A: No, I never had any desire to do that. I cannot tell good art from bad art. I have no eye for it.

You can feel the tension through the lines on the page...palpable. Seth did a very long interview on Howard Stern, and I have listened to his DVD commentary, and generally I think he is a thoughtful, intelligent person with a dark sense of humor. Ms. Solomon's hostility is almost immediately apparent and I think Seth handles it appropriately. Full disclosure: I love Seth and his cartoons (yea, don't really care what anyone thinks.)

@Heywoodjablome: Family Guy is funny. Inappropriate and shocking too. Don't watch it with your moms.

This interview is more about McFarlane's no-frills brevity than her loquacity. He wins. He doesn't want to waste his time with any flowery analysis nor does he feel the need to defend his show and sensibilities. He's like, here I am, take it or leave it, Lady Who Doesn't Understand It.
