    I find it disgusting that Foster Kamer ("The Jew") is forced to write his articles within the confines of his own home, or even, gasp, within numerous coffee shops found throughout Williamsburg, BK. The facts regarding Nick Denton (of Eastern Bloc descent) forcing his lowly underlings to submit information beneath a 3rd party's umbrella is heinous and unparallel to other instances (in part, the phenomenal writings of Sheila McClear ("The Mick") & Alex Carnevale ("The Who Fucking Knows"). Other writers have been afforded the luxuries regarding in-house computers, ergonomic-engineered chairs, and high-speed internet. The Jew, meanwhile, is forced to spend his weekends gallivanting with uncouth gentiles and their crazy hormones/homes (not mutually exclusive).

    I find this order uncouth, and would like to open a case for The Jew, immediately.

    Back in the 80s, my first real job was a reporter for a local bi-weekly up in Putnam county. The only other reporter on the staff of that paper - hired the same time I was was - is now a reporter for the New York Post.

    Although I haven't to him in over 20 years, I hope he's not on this layoff list. He probably isn't though, since the Post hired him only a year ago, and he's really good.

    I'm a bit confused. The tipster states that these people should have been released a while ago. Then he/she goes on to say that most of them are minorities.

    Were these employees tapped to be right-sized out of the building due to poor performance? Were they given the shitty assignments because they were minorities?

    Given the tipster's comments, I'm not sure if we should be upset that minorities are being unfairly targeted or if we should simply feel badly for yet another round of layoffs.

    I don't find Andrea Peyser particularly racist; just annoying, presumptuous, and judgmental in the way some white people can be when talking about non-white people. I mean, it's simplification to suggest that any one thing a parent did led to their child being dangerous (and ultimately dead), but I think- black or white- we can all agree this woman was a shitty parent and at least is partially responsible for her son's fate.

    And I also don't think it's ridiculous to suggest people who live in the effing ghetto adjust to more strict standards for how they bring up their children, especially if they feel that negative influences are literally everywhere.

    And I'm sorry, is the lack of present fathers (or father-figures) in the lower-class black community some kind of secret? I've had people straight ask me to my face if I had a father, for no other reason than that I'm black...

    @TheMac: Thank you, I think you nailed it. It's that basic assumption that, well, this is what worked for me (assuming it did work for her) so you should do it too. "I didn't have to go to college to be a success so why should you?" "I went to college and you should buckle down and do the same or else you won't succeed in this society." Everybody's got a line on how life should be run.
