I wish people would stop lauding cyclists in NYC. We have the best public transport system in the world, bar none, and these folk want to be seen as environmental heroes for keeping their couple of bucks in their pocket. You want to impress with your two-wheeled war against the war against the environment, then do it in St. Louis. Keep peddling to your tree-genocide of a navel-gazing twat-wrapper; but let's note that the article doesn't say she cycles home - that would be uphill.
The only reasons obsessively thin editors like Lucy Danziger ride their bikes to work is so they can stay scrawny. It ain't being green, it's being scrawny. Don't make it seem like she is trying to be good, she is just terrified of having any kind of womanly shape.
Yesterday, I realized that I don't know the difference between Self and Shape, but one of 'em has Pam Beesley Halpert on the cover this month looking mighty fine.
Also, I hate people who bike in the city, so she gets no kudos from me. #condenast
Don't give yourself too much credit, blogs. Sometimes Tennessee is behind the times, but my hometown newspaper was riding this "irresponsible and not caring about the truth" trend long before Al Gore even invented the internets. #washingtonpost
@Unsolicited Advice: I don't know. The Wall Street Journal's editorial board is evil, but the WaPo's is stupid. Stupid is worse than evil, I think. #washingtonpost

As I recall, Fred Hiatt made an extremely lame apology after Valerie Plame's name was published in the WaPo. #washingtonpost
