More facts from Drudge can only enrich the debate about Sotomayor. As Drudge surely knows by living in Miami, nothing stinks more than a Puerto Rican [document] dump.

Perhaps all bills should be submitted in Mexican novella format?

If I were to read Drudge all the time, I'd probably become illiterate too.

Perhaps are bills should be written in comic book form, with illustrations by Alan Moore or Frank Miller.

On the other hand, the Rush Limbaugh-approved talking points on this issue (and all others) amount to fewer than 110 words, none of which are over three syllables, written in a 24-point sans serif font,

Jebus! The dems do the same damn thing! Except it's not a news story because nobody is surprised when they say thety can't read 1300 pages in 13 days.

    The high-horse continues.

@foofybunny: The story is about Republicans complaining about having to read, not about the length of the bills themselves.

Like George W. Bush, who claims to have read two books a week in 2006.

His choices for week 1 were Truly Tasteless Jokes and More Truly Tasteless Jokes.

I hope you all realize that bills are rarely read in their entirety by any given Congressperson. You think Waxman read all of Waxman-Markey, his own bill? Doubtful.

A few weeks ago at a Newsweek forum here in DC on Obama's energy policy, Rep. Butterfield pointed out that they had passed a cash for clunkers bill that will help reduce our country's dependence on foreign oil....blah blah blah. When someone asked what the specific MPG requirements were for new vehicles, he said, "Oh, I haven't read the bill itself."
