Coming soon, from the state that brought you an alleged comedian as a United States Senator and 2 mouthbreating buffoons as United States Representatives (take a bow, Reps. Bachmann and Ellison) is....A DOG AS GOVERNOR IN 2012!
@Baroness: Well just because someone gets paid to do something doesn't mean they know what they are doing, it just means that the people writing the checks are idiots.
@I Love New Jersey: Pointing you in the direction of Franken's written work would, I fear, be futile, as I'm laying dollars to donuts you don't know how to read.
@Lulupasternak: I don't like or dislike him. His work--his comedy--is funny. Much funnier than, say, Dennis Miller. Or Colm Meany. Or Jim Downey. Funny you should mention Tom Davis. I heard him on the radio a couple of weeks ago and it seemed like he has a lot of affection for his old writing partner.
Again, Rush Limbaugh... is, in my estimation, a very funny book.
What the fuck does liking someone have to do with anything anyway?
"We have reached the point where further litigation would require us to argue that the Supreme Court was wrong in its decision to seat George W. Bush and the Republican party refuses to pay for such argument."
Al Franken: Thank you, Jane. Well, the "me" decade is almost over, and good riddance, and far as I'm concerned. The 70's were simply 10 years of people thinking of nothing but themselves. No wonder we were unable to get together and solve any of the many serious problems facing our nation. Oh sure, some people did do some positive things in the 70's - like jogging - but always for the wrong reasons, for their own selfish, personal benefit. Well, I believe the 80's are gonna have to be different. I think that people are going to stop thinking about themselves, and start thinking about me, Al Franken. That's right. I believe we're entering what I like to call the Al Franken Decade.
@cohenj88: Also Jewish: Coleman's predecessor, Paul Wellstone, and Wellstone's predecessor, Rudy Boschwitz. Of course, Boschwitz's predecessor was Wendy Anderson, who infamously screwed up his promising gubernatorial career by doing what Blago only dreamed of and appointing himself to the Senate upon the vacancy by Walter Mondale, which means that... hey, where are you going?
I know a lot of you New Yorkers don't follow pig racing, but Norm Coleman (piglet) is going to crush Al Franken (piglet) thereby ending your dreams of a filibuster proof Senate majority.

A mystery, I know- like when people rip off the Empire State's copyrighted logo, broadcasting how unoriginal and second-rate they are.
