    Accepting that John Travolta and Kelly Preston are grieving parents, I'd nonetheless like to see a solid investigation into whether parental/caregiver neglect contributed to the death of this child.


    One other thing- Jett Travolta? Why did John Travolta and Kelly Preston allow Sarah Palin to name their son?

    @Dagrolord: Right, Dagrolord. And why do those in the "public eye" compete to gift their children with increasingly bizarre names? Apple, Suri, Blowhole, whatever. Aren't these children going to have difficult enough lives without being called by a name that automatically makes others want to hit you in the face? Vanity knows no bounds in the celebutard.

    A. They have no bond with reality.
    B. Anything to get more press coverage.
    C. Everyone names their kid silly things these days. I, as usual, did it wrong. With all these Hunters, Walkers, Coopers and Masons- I thought Plumber would be a good name, but apparently it's not setting him up for too much.

    @Dot: Indeed. I don't get the whole Hollywood Insiders giving their kids Outsiders names game. Millstone names weren't yet popular when I was in elementary school. I do however recall a boy named Sherrill who was beaten like the proverbial red-headed stepchild at least once a week in P.E. The Coaches pretty much overlooked the asswhippings- they assumed Sherrill's parents had planned it that way.

    The involvement of an American spy agency in a Bahamian police investigation only adds to the air of mystery around Jett Travolta's death.


    This sentence pisses me off for some reason. First, what do you think the "I" in "FBI" stands for? And second, it just sounds creepy and yellow journalism-y to me.

    @prince_matchabelli: As much as i adore Owen, c'mon, peeps. The FBI was called to investigate the Bombay bombings, among other misdeeds. It happens. The CIA may be the Keystone Kops playing at espionage, but the FBI generally seems to know what it's doing.
