I'd like to see the reaction when the $1K mini-elephant comes out. I, for one, will be bankrupt.

@ms_priestypants: Oh, I want a mini elephant! Have you seen the mini donkey though? Much more affordable and can be used for hauling around tiny amounts of luggage.

Tourists get wearisome. They come here for a week but I live with them day after day after day. I NEVER get a vacation from them. And they do slow everything down.

Aww, that Gartenberg tweet is sweet. Remind's my of Jenna Fischer's MySpace post about her first encounter with paparazzi, who may or may not have thought she was someone else.

This is just a ruse by VC to get investor's money. Now.

And when will they return that money?

    Later.

    When Later becomes Now?

No, because now is when you give us money.

    Riiiight.

this is exactly right: That's the failing of Facebook's redesign: It is constantly updated, but no longer with the best stuff, just the newest. as far as it goes ... this is also how twitterstreams are

but ... if u like a friend or a twitstream, u can go back and read that start finish

    so. and also, too

Seriously Owen, yeah, we all hate the new facebook, but if you're going to write yet another post bashing it, could you at least *try* to write something new and/or interesting? This "real time," psuedo-philosophical shit was not worth the 15 seconds it took to read it.

If there was actually news about the redesign this post would be warranted, but this is just beating a dead horse.

@BBooms: Hah. What's especially frustrating is that there's probably some meat on this "realtime" bone yet to be picked, but this little diddy didn't do it. It's like Owen's a better editor than writer, or something. WHODATHUNKIT?

@aurora*raby: I think you're not exactly up to speed on which words are most currently used? Nobody ever says symmetric. I think because it's largely a mathematical term, isn't it?

Anyhow. Wrong word used pretentiously. Sign #1 of a poor writer.
