    Those Chinese bronzes are spectacularly creepy. I wish I could afford them. I would name them 'Mouse King' and 'Frank,' and they would each have a chair at my table and their own napkin.

    Saint Laurent's collection of hotel soaps went for 345,000 euros, with one particularly stunning piece of Zest from the Super 8 Inn just outside of Redding, CA fetching 34,000 euros.

    @dovima57: sadly those hotels do sound out of reach and dreamlike to me. hence . . .


    @Monsignor Xtravagante D'ouchestache: i'm originally from northern nevada and am very much a fan of long roadtrips. redding is a good spot to stop if you're splitting the drive from los angeles to seattle into 2 days. there's also a decent motel 6 across the street from the offices of the "redding record searchlight" that has clean shitters and a well lit parking lot.
