    So, so disgusting. It's incredible how anti-Semitism rears its ugly head full-force in harsh economic times. These Oxford twits donned payot and money-bags while, in truth, there are many Jews without a cent, and compared to the kind of money held in Christian and Muslim hands world-over, Jews are the poorest of people. And in the event of another Holocaust, which doesn't seem so outlandish now, billionaire Jews like Bloomberg and Lauder will be deprived of their wealth first and then their lives. Jews may be smart, resourceful, but -- in truth -- they have no real power. It's all so fleeting. Thank god for Israel. I like Obamba, but I have to wonder, given his previous statements about Hamas/Hezbollah and Intimate Association with Reverend Wright, if he didn't pick Big-Time-Jew Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff for less than honorable reasons. After all, Obama is not only cute and smart, he's the shrewdest politician alive.

    @Tweezergal: I think you're exactly right about Rahm Emanuel. Nothing says "no terrorist secret Muslim here" like appointing the son of a Mossad agent to be your chief of staff. Obama is such a control freak I doubt he'll give Emanuel much room to run, though. Window-dressing, mostly.

    Christ, a couple of boys on my floor in first year wanted to have an Osama bin Laden/ambiguous Middle Eastern themed party. When they told the girls on my floor, well it's fair to say there were more than a few new ones torn. Unfortunately there's no happy ending, as they went ahead with it anyway, despite it being pointed out that there were more than a few Muslims in our hostel that would be rightly pissed off.

    @ClicheLaMoron: I always say that once your women have been exoticized and lusted after by white men, it's the first step to social acceptance. It worked for the Latinas in the U.S. after Carmen Miranda and Raquel Welch, and Asians in the U.S. and in France it's quite fashionable to have a Moroccan girlfriend.

    When I lived in Europe I had pretty consistent conversations, with well-educated people, trying to convince them that a small cabal of Jews do NOT run the US Government, Media and Hollywood. They remained completely unconvinced. The Emanuel family is probably not helping.
