Is this a good time for Ron Howard to rerelease "Cinderella Man" - only this time it will make money?

Let's just talk like it's 1929 ... as in ... I wish that cake eater would butt me, and if he doesn't I'll just have to cast a kitten!

How about if we party like it's France, 1789. Pass the cake!

I'm going to party like it's 1829, just to be cool. Anyone want a hit of cholera?

@es-ki-mo: 1837 was the closest depression. Party Likes its 1837!

(bonus: Manhattan burned to the ground that year, too! It was like 9/11 and the subprime meltdown all at once. And still nobody tapped their phones).

I want to bring back the phrase "Twenty-three skiddoo!" If I could only figure out what it means.

Nothings wrong with the economy that a refreshing dip in the waters of lake Minnetonka couldn't fix right up.

    That's not Lake Minnetonka.

A nice literal demonstration of the phrase "kicking your heels up." People should do the Charleston more often.

It's sad that the Prince version of this phrase once again seems utopian--for a completely different reason than when it was first recorded.

All I know is that ladies, it's time to raise those hem-lines. Nothing else has helped our economy thus far. At this rate, who knows how pathetic the headline comparisons will become next year.

For the sake of experiment, you gents may want to raise your trouser-line an inch or two as well. Couldn't hurt!
