Well Joanie, I hope in your dull Salon meeting you all finally decided to fire your pet contrarian columnist, Camille Paglia. She doesn't belong on Salon.

In Texas, if you tweet while walking down the street, someone will run over you. Or possibly shoot you. It depends on where you are.

Nick: take it from an old publishing hand. If the check is due in a month, you will see it in about six. Advances can take longer.

Why is it so hard to find the photos of Jessica Biel and Allysa Milano kissing (circa may '08?) All I could come up with is this:

I don't understand why Tina Fey has a Big Mac as her avatar. If that stick ever eats anything besides lettuce and tomatoes, then I'm Michelle Obama.

    (still love her, though)

@Arceus: @RubberNekkeur: She used to weigh more. I think she's obsessed with food on the show because she can't eat what she wants and stay on TV (or so she thinks or has been told).

I've never heard of Patrick W. Gavin, but judging by how easily he is convinced to pronounce words incorrectly, I am glad of it.

@TheHonJudgeSmails: You’re wrong and right. In Italy, they always say brusketta. The ch always indicates a hard k in Italian. But in American English, most people say brushetta. So, as an American, since I don’t want to be terribly pretentious and explain to the waiter and my dinner companions why brusketta is terribly correct, I say brushetta.

On a related note, my desire not to be a pretentious ass is also one reason I do not Twitter.

Did you at least tweet "writing a filler article on unknown people who are doing banal things" on your own account?

I would give you credit for that.

Until then, would you please stop writing filler articles on unknown people who are doing banal things?

@Housebroken(mostly): Agreed. The only thing more mundane and uninteresting than these tweets is a blog post aggregating them. Doesn't Owen have some "mainstream-media-outlets-are-failing-and..." posts he can marshal? Surely, SOMETHING happened regarding The New York Times that can be ridiculed in a mindless and substance-lacking way!
