    I realize that this may come across as harping, but...

    Google has invested in Wojcicki's company at the behest of a founder. Google is not subject to the marriage contract and because 23andMe is still in the startup phase, it hasn't produced any value for Google's shareholders. Any future investments would be subject to the whim of Sergey;

    So, what does NOW think of this power dynamic?

    Expect us to add benefits rather than pare them down over time. We believe it is easy to be penny wise and pound foolish with respect to benefits that can save employees considerable time and improve their health and productivity.

    Meanwhile, the big guys take Town Cars and have yet to darken the entryway to coach class.

    I fear that it will be the little things like this - people trying to "show they're cost-sensitive" - and the lowest on the totem pole suffer, while Anna will still be spending $50,000 a day for her Paris fashion shows week.

    So the old ladies can head over to Barnes & Noble on a weekday afternoon, order a cup of hot water, pull teabags out of their purses, and read the New Yorker in the seating area. Problem solved -- and they get some fresh air!
