Dude the guy helped a LOT of people out there who couldn't afford Adobe's prices, and also the open source scene.

Considering all the d-bags who got a job at google doing nothing, this guy deserves everything he's got.

This seems pointless. He is cute, however, and so is his family.

I vote leave him alone until he sets fire to the place in a series of wacky mishaps a la The Money Pit.

It doesn't seem they've done anything attention grabbing other than get their home purchase mixed up in some celebrity real estate gossip mongering. I was hoping the frosting on the first floor windows would be changed to appease my fantasy house hunting/window shopping, but I think they should keep it up for a while longer.

@i'm a bottle: Seconded. He's just a good, geeky normal guy with a family. This is a little creepy.

It's not an apartment. It's a limestone mansion on Prospect Park West.

They look nice. Leave them alone. C'mon there are tons of awful people to take on.

So, exactly why is it newsworthy that a Google employee purchased a home in Manhattan? Does the home turn into a robot?

@Paul.B.Dodd: I agree. Unless the home turns into a robot, the private finances of a non-public figure are none of our business.

Swiping family photos from Facebook is not cool.
