@musicandorchids: I don't know why Slug didn't ever get bigger. He's talented and attractive (if you don't believe me, go to one of his shows--they're overwhelmingly filled with chicks, which is rare for a crunchy hip-hop show). It pisses me off because fucks like this guy get mainstream play but folks like Slug or Aesop Rock get nothin'. Although I can see why Aesop Rock isn't more mainstream. He uses way too many polysyllabic words.
The Family Guy comparison was pretty apt. And if you want more semi-talented white rappers talking about the suburbs and making pithy observations, there is always Brawdcast. He may be even more blah than Roth. Grouch from Living Legends on the other hand... that's good shit.
@SeaSalt: Awww, I went to high school with Brawdcast. He had a really cute song about Taco Bell when we were kids, but man, he is terrible. Sweet, but terrible.
He's ok. He's not really rapping about anything important, not a lot of wit either. I don't know how he's going to sell 300,000 copies in the first week.
It must be nice to be entirely without self-awareness, and to have no friends who will tell you when you are making an ass of yourself. You can get away with so much annoying garbage.
I'm just confused. Is that supposed to be....funny? Is that what they were going for? It would seem so but simple logic is telling me that a normal functioning adult would not find that funny. so????

Seems like Mickey Avalon was this kid but more entertaining, no?
