I'm going to copy my above statement
""Using a Mac is for people who are terrible with computers and constantly 'break the darn machine' as my grandmother puts it.
We got my grandma a Mac because it has big shiny buttons and is easy for a technology-retard to understand and it's hard for her to fuck it up. The rest of the normal adults in the household use PCs, because they're superior machines in nearly every way. ""

Of course, most people don't need all the high-quality bits in Macs, which is why it's nice having the option of buying cheap-ass PCs (like my own $499 Sony). But there's a difference between giving up the bottom end of the market and charging a 100% premium for your brand.

Macs do not come with anti-virus, Photoshop, *or* a Geek squad visit. And wtf is "multimedia software"? That could mean anything. Windows Media Player certainly qualifies, and there's nothing the Mac comes with that's any better. (Assuming they're breaking out Garage Band into the "music software" category, which is one of the few legitimate things on this list.)
Talk about a reach.
