You can argue Toyota with a Jalop all day long, but it still comes across as extolling Sanka in a room full of coffee snobs. Or Coors in a room full of beer snobs. Save your breath.

    A big girl car?

Usually a V6 Mustang, sometimes a Chevy Aveo. I'm surprised they fit inside half the time.

What a load of crap. Little girls that age do not give a rat's ass about what kind of car their dad drives, as long as it regularly pulls up in front of Chuck E. Cheese's and the Hello Kitty store.

Well, in all fairness, who else can handle a fire haired demon child better than the greatest fireman...IN THE WORLD.

Oh and he also used to play armoured wankball as well.

well, I can kinda see her point - there's more room in the trunk of the big girl SUV for when he goes to dump her body... is the interior blood resistant?

It bugged me that at the very end, she did not insist upon "big girl." Consistency should not be too much to demand from shrill automobile advertisements.

My hate for this and every other "'Merican cars! Fuck yeah!" commercial is bottomless. When they make cars that are ACTUALLY better than Toyota's, then they can subject us to this awful shilling.

@hummingpenguin: Better how? Half of Toyota's lineup makes me want to fall asleep, which is kinda unsafe until Toyota's super fantastic genius engineers develop autopilot for cars.

@Pope John Peeps II: This is what happens when Gawker's seriousness gets cross-posted on Jalopnik. It's a not a fight worth picking, but I'll echo that Toyota's car lineup has the reputation among most enthusiasts as being the most boring available. Mainly because they killed EVERY sports car over the past 10 years.

@Ash78: I was thinking the same thing on both accounts. We the Jalop crowd are lunatics. We aren't sensable people looking for boring reliable vehicles. We want complete and utter ridiculousness, which is something that Toyota no longer embodies. You Gawker people can appreciate the realibility of Toyotas (because they are), while we have been pissed at Toyota since they dropped the Supra.

@Maymar wishes his car had beach assault capability: Aw, that's too bad. Really. Do you get so passionate about your microwave oven, your toaster, or your washing machine? Seriously. I prefer my cars boring, really I do. I mean, starting every day, stopping on a dime, hardly ever making much noise, lasting almost forever, and getting good gas mileage are pretty boring, I must admit, but the kind of excitement I got from the last couple of Ford products I've driven I can do without, thank you very much.

@Pope John Peeps II: @HurtsSoGood: Look, I get it, I'm a lunatic with different priorities in cars. But, can I call for an ultimatum that, if someone's going to go on about how (insert foreign company here) is so much better than (insert domestic company here), can it just never, ever be Toyota again? The sheen of reliability isn't what it once was, they build nothing with exceptional fuel economy except the Prius, and again, their lineup is marginally more exciting than a snail race. What about Honda (they've got motorcycles!)? Mazda (zoom, zoom)? Even those oddballs Subaru or Suzuki? Work with me here.
