I think that I shall never see
a bunch of wretches such as these.
Full of spunk and zeal and zest-
just like Kim Z's constructed breasts;
Gals that shop and snipe all day,
And at the shrine of Prada pray;
A group that may in Summer wear
A nest of store-bought Shudra hair;
Upon whose bosom gold has lain;
despite their utter lack of brain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But these damn fools are on TV. #realhousewivesofatlanta
Brian, if you wrote this yourself I absolutely am in love with you. May we have a New Jersey version also, in which "pollution on the shore" is part of a couplet with "prostitution whore"? #realhousewivesofatlanta
@BettyCrocker: Well, I will accept your love, because I did write it. The video is the best part though, and that's all Mike Byhoff. #realhousewivesofatlanta
@meg9: Radar Online posted the foreclosure papers. The defaulted mortage is for just $175,000 and was obtained in 2005 (long before her onyx palace was finished) leading some people to believe the mortgage is actually on some other property that Teresa and her husband decided to abandon.
Either that or the real estate taxes and other expense associated with that onyx palace put Teresa in over her head. Real estate taxes in New Jersey are insane. #realhousewivesofatlanta
I'll never understand this: do "Big & Rich" understand English well enough to comprehend the lyrics of their hit?
Well that old man’s been workin’ in that plant most all of his life
Now his pension plan’s been cut in half and he can’t afford to die
And it’s a crying shame, ‘cause he ain’t the one to blame
When I look down and see his calloused hands,
Let me tell you friend it gets me fightin’ mad
Cause in the real world they're shutting Detroit down
While the boss man takes his bonus pay and jets out of town
And DC’s bailing out the bankers at the farmers auction ground,
Yeah while they’re living it up on Wall Street in that New York City town,
Here in the real world they're shuttin’ Detroit down.
They’re shuttin’ Detroit down."
I mean, excuse me for saying so, boys, but that's a song for and by a Democrat union man if I ever heard one. Maybe they should either fire whoever buys them their songs or change political brands to match their lyrics.
As for Sarah, well, she's Sarah. I wouldn't expect her to understand the lyrics.
@Mediahohoho: Well, the most important success of the Republican party over the past half-century has been getting poor, rural, uneducated, working-class populists to passionately vote against their own interests. The fact that Dems have been spineless didn't hurt either.
@Mediahohoho: But you don't understand. All bankers and wealthy people are democrats, obviously. They're elitist and eat arugula, so of course they stand for liberal spending, taxing the wealthy, social programs like welfare, and everything else those damn demmycrats love.
Poor people (like our good friends in Detroit), on the other hand, are republicans because... uh... they love America? All I know is there is no way those 8 million fat cats living in New York City represent any part of the real world.
@Mediahohoho: Weird, but true: The guy who goes by "Big" in Big & Rich is a Democrat. He supported Obama. So, strangely, did Toby Keith, another of those flag-waving new country guys...
@MrsButterworth: I won't admit why I know this, but Keith in fact voted for McCain and has proudly proclaimed he did so because of how much he liked Palin. So his stupidity is in fact genuine.
@Atilla the Bun: Ahh.. well, I may not be as up on it as I once was, but I do remember that he was a self-described life-long democrat at one point. Poking around the net a bit it looks like you're right, he then registered independent and voted for McCain.
But he also would say in concert that he supported the war in Afghanistan but NOT the war in Iraq, which I thought showed that he at least had one or two brain cells rattling around in there.
