@daveyjonesisdead: Wrong post. You'll need to go back down the hall towards President Obama (you'll see him charming a fat turkey), and look for the first post on your left. Be careful - Martha Steward is helping Jack Torrance look for his son; it would be best to smile politely and scurry past.
@Bos'un's Mate: Sorry, I keep getting lost here. I went down the other way but then I saw some Sheila posts and was like, WTF? and realized I had stumbled into 2008.
@MisterHippity: One night a long time ago, I was wandering around campus, when I spotted an owl in a tree and a girl laying down looking up at it.
Maybe because they were scheduled to perform a concert the next evening, I convinced myself that it was Stevie Nicks, so I laid down in the grass nearby hoping to make a dream come true.
Neither of us said a word and eventually after maybe half an hour, she got up and floated away. To this day, I swear that it could've very easily been Ms. Nicks, but since I was tripping on acid at the time, I'll never know.
No way to gracefully drop Biden from the ticket (the VP selection being a president's first and most important decision).
Except maybe through a job swap with Hillary. Hmmmm. I could see that.
(Though I don't believe that anything being said about Obama 2012's ticket in Nov. 2009.)
@naugahydeinplainsight: Um, all kidding aside Joe Biden for Secretary of State sounds like the worst idea ever. Can you imagine the wars we'd be in by 2016?
@ms_priestypants: He is a little unpredictable, isn't he. Yet wasn't his name high on the list of SecState candidates being bandied about last year? Even as VP he was hailed for his foreign policy experience.
@naugahydeinplainsight: Mrs. Biden let it slip that Obama offered Joe his choice of SoS or VP, with whichever one he didn't pick going to Hillary. So a 2012 (or sooner?) switcheroo is entirely conceivable, seeing as Barry considers them both qualified for either job.
@naugahydeinplainsight: I should note that I get my political news exclusively from SNL skits and The Daily Show, in order to counteract my father getting his from Fox News.
@ms_priestypants: Having filled both their prospective roles, Clinton has, thus far, made more gaffes than Biden.
And Biden, believe it or not, has been rumored to be the most dovish member of the new administration. I would welcome the switch (that is not going to happen).

Sadly, it seems that Fox "News" (and the Republicans in general) are the Jedi masters of self-fulfilling prophecy.

Though I must say I found the state dinner menu a lot like food porn, except with some spelling errors.

So I'd say Joe B has every reason to be a'feared.

Biden just needs time to take care of his 1981 Pontiac Trans Am.
