    17. We support the continued and preposterous use of the term "Party of Lincoln."

    18. We support the habit of being completely indifferent to deficit spending -- under Republican administrations.

    19. We support the right of Big Government to interfere in the lives of women -- and those faggots who want special treatment.

    20. We support tax and spend as long as the taxes go to big nepotistic no-bid commercial real estate projects like convention centers and basketball arenas.

    21. We support the federal minimum wage over a locally determined prevailing wage (which we call "union wages" because that sounds Communist-y) because the previaling wage would be slightly higher and paying workers more is bad for the country and patriotism.

    22. We support abstinence only programs because real Americans want to have grandchildren as early as possible in their lives.

    23. We are against illegal immigration, but we are for legal importation of indentured servants under the H2A and H2B visa programs to help keep wages down by exploiting "at will" labor from developing countries for jobs, as Bush said: "Americans won't do."

    You know, if you Xerox a bunch of pictures of Republican politicians and then put the copied images back in the Xerox machine and sit on the scanner with no pants on and press the start key the pictures come out with your ass superimposed over the Republican politicians.

    17) We support the right of our female candidates to exploit sexism, adopt incredibly sexist attitudes towards other women, and enact policies that hurt women- all while retaining the "right" to term themselves victims of sexism at any given time, therein perpetuating decades of stereotypes and making ACTUAL pro-female feminists homicidal. Also, said female candidates will wear far too much lip liner.

    @mimigoliath: If I really ever met a "libertarian" who was really a libertarian, I think we could maybe get along with a few fundamental disagreements. Unfortunately, every single self-identified "libertarian" is exactly what you said, a republican who's too cool to be a republican. Usually it's a self-entitled white person who wants to government to get out of the way because they're already a part of the haves.

    @nozer: i have had relatively, and productive conversations with exactly 2 libertarians. One might politely characterize every other conversations as "arguments" or "screaming matches."

    @Helio: Reason magazine is interesting. I often disagree with them but almost never feel shouty -- which is rare in my dealings with conservatives.

    @Grandpapular: i should check that out. Real libertarians used to be the "smart republicans" and I'm afraid my distaste for their views stems mostly from their general douchiness. Reading it in a mag, might assuage that feeling.
