Elementary schoolers at the Uruti School in New Zealand helped dozens of dead possums achieve the goals they never achieved in life last weekend, and now people are giving them grief for it.

A school in New Zealand last week held a Possum Hunt and Gala, where students shot possums and then competed in a carcass-throwing contest. Answering critics, principal Colin Martin said, "Colyton School is about letting kids be kids."

A city program to introduce possums to Brooklyn as rat killers has apparently backfired and now, according to the Post, "some Brooklynites have become terrified to go into their yards at night." Tornadoes, Madonna, and now rabies? Brooklyn is cursed.
