Chicago only got 16% because of all the dead people who voted for it.

OT: Didn't King Kong climb to the top of the Empire State building? That doesn't look like the ESB? Is it a different building? Or did Kong climb up two buildings.

Maybe I should just see the movie.

@checkyaself: It's the Empire State Building before they installed the TV antenna. Because there was no TV in 1933.

@SidAndFinancy: Supposedly, it was, but they quickly realized that it was impractical. The TV antenna was installed instead, some time in the Fifties.

Where does Ed Anger write his column for the Weekly World News? That's the best city.

@DeltaGuy: Of course all of the people who voted for NYC probably couldn't find Woodlawn Cemetery without checking references.

New York: where for every man bites dog story, there are at least nine TV stations, six newspapers and four radio stations waiting to report the shit out of it.

@Oy Veh (Informality Reigns): Hey, now, you've got a 5 million (Albeit falling) population metro area that used to have two very strong newspapers throughout most of it's history.

This actually doesn't surprise me... the quality of journalism in the D was often impressive; even the alt-weekly, "The Metro Times", often came out with some very hard-hitting stories and features. I've looked for that level of writing in the Baltimore and the DC City Paper, but, uhhhh, not so much.
