"Haagen Dazs" is code for heroin, isn't it? Pull back Chris, you're being drawn into the dark vortex of fashion. Sinister things Teen Vogue daren't mention.
Darlings, I'll be in the Men's Department on the 10th floor of Lord & Taylor, drunker than Bacchus and wearing pasties that shoot out fire and glitter.
"The only thing we have to fear is a complete and totally dissolving of all financial markets and a descent into utter chaos, a series of events that have already begun and according to my daily economic briefing, will accelerate into the street violence phase at some point early to mid next week before transforing into a Jericho-esque national disaster in which every town will be required to fend for itself sometime in the third week of March."
@Iceland Spar: "The whole question of home defense against depression is, of course, powerfully affected by the fact that we have for the time being in this Economy incomparably more powerful commerical forces than we have ever had at any moment in this crisis or the last. But this will not continue. We shall not be content with just one stimulus package or one bailout. We have our duty to our corporate masters. We have to reconstitute and build up the American Middle Class once again, under its gallant Commander-in-Chief, Shopoholic.
We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in Consumables, we shall fight on the equity and debt markets, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the auto lots, we shall defend our Economy, whatever the cost may be, we shall buy in the store isles, we shall buy in the upscale fashion botique, we shall buy in the brick and mortar retailers and from the interwebs, we shall buy in the mom and pop stores and in the giant big box stores; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Economy or a large part of it were recessed or depressed, then our corporate masters beyond the seas, would carry on the struggle, until, in good time, China, with all its economic power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."
@Iceland Spar: "One other thing I probably should tell you, because if I don't they'll probably be saying this about me, too. We did get something, a gift, after the election. A man down in Texas heard Pat on the radio mention the fact that our two youngsters would like to have a dog. And believe it or not, the day before we left on this campaign trip we got a message from Union Station in Baltimore, saying they had a package for us. We went down to get it. You know what it was? It was a little cocker spaniel dog in a crate that he'd sent all the way from Texas, black and white, spotted. And our little girl Tricia, the six year old, named it "Checkers." And you know, the kids, like all kids, love the dog, and I just want to say this, right now, that regardless of what they say about it, we're gonna keep it."
- OH - Wait, that one's not true, because Obama has continued to not delivery on the campaign's crucial puppy pledge!
@badass-boi: I do, or have. I have a man-crush on that dude. I like the "I'm Dabney Coleman's son and we're both lawyers" show, too. Also, no cable/satellite.
