    State budget (created by Dems in a closed-door meeting) passed without input from the upstate Republican minority and contains all kinds of stuff they don't like...


    And even people who like the job he's done so far think he handled the whole appoint-someone-to-replace-Senator-Clinton thing horribly.

    @bytememehard: Because Sheldon Silver is now the most powerful person in the state and Paterson apparently can't stand up to him or anyone else, which means have fun with paying $4 to wait 20 minutes to force yourself onto a Tokyo-crowded N train that breaks down when you get to Canal Street, so you can walk the rest of the way to work while choking on the fumes of all the assholes sitting in traffic after their free drive into the city from Queens, while up in Albany a team of eunuchs gold-plates the urinals.


    But I admit he seems like a cool guy.

    @City_Dater: None of which is really all that big a deal, at least to a Dem like me. The media is trying to paint him as someone even blacks don't support, but I think that is false, at least to hear Rev. Al tell it.
