Minutes ago, a jury found Theodore Wafer guilty of second-degree murder, and manslaughter in the killing of Renisha McBride after just over a day's worth of deliberation. McBride was 19 years old when Wafer shot and killed her on his porch last November. Wafer was remanded to Wayne County Jail to await sentencing.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced today that it will bring charges of second-degree murder against a Dearborn Heights man who shot and killed Renisha McBride in the early morning hours of November 2.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner has officially ruled Renisha McBride's death a homicide. The Detroit News reports that her killer, an unnamed, 54-year-old white male who says his gun fired "accidentally," shot McBride on his porch. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have yet to charge the shooter.
