    Having once made out with Patrick in a bar on Capital Hill while he was on a date with one of his interns, I can definitely attest to the fact that he has the ole' Kennedy can-do attitude.

    Having worked as a reporter in Patrick Kennedy's home district, here's my take:

    Patrick is actually pretty politically savvy and definitely knowledgeable on policy. The big problems are all personal: the crashed boat, the crashed car, the pills and frankly, the lack of a spouse.

    He just gives off a weird vibe.

    But you've overlooked so many other promisig candidates: the gimpy Ted Jr., former Oreo-wielding MD Lt. Gov Kathleen Kennedy Towsend, and cheating heartbreaker Kerry Kennedy, who has the requisite scandal to live up to the family legacy.

    @NexusRanger: The dashingly handsome genes, I'm afraid, were lost after Jackie O. JFK had one or two, but none of his brothers or their spouses had them. (And Caroline didn't get any). We'll have to start a new family.
