    I love these guys who say they "regret a life of crime," like that magically fixes all the havoc they created.

    I tend to wonder if they are waiting for us to say, "Oh, well as long as you regret it then all is forgiven! All we wanted was an apology and that's that! Carry on."

    @MsMuffinMcGuffin: Actually, right or wrong, you'd be surprised how much our justice system is based on remorse and penitence. Whether one expresses these things can have a huge impact during the sentencing phase of a criminal trial. #robertmormando

    @MsMuffinMcGuffin: You'd be surprised how many people don't show remorse at all. For very heinous crimes. So yes, sincere remorse can help with sentencing. #robertmormando
