Ok, I didn't watch last night and I don't know when that pic up there is from, but Jesus Christ. Why didn't I appreciate this woman when I was like 15? Has she actually gotten more attractive now that she's 48 or whatever?

@matukonyc: He answers to that in the blog post. As someone who doesn't know much about AA, I found the post to be really informative. For example, I didn't realize you don't have to be religious to be a member of AA. Cut the guy some slack. It's a choice.

@matukonyc: It's anonymous in that you are not supposed to reveal the identities of others. But you can and in fact are encouraged to share your personal experience in AA with others in order to possibly help someone else get help.

I'm glad that California has discussed the revenue advantages of legalization and I think the "Rainbow Collective" has come up with a fine promotion.

It's nice that the dispensary found a magazine willing to distribute their coupons, but as a pro-reform person who's willing to at least settle for medical marijuana, I kind of have to worry about the way these things might reflect upon the movement as a whole.

Says some future politician in BFE: "Californians can get free dope like it's fries from McDonalds."

I'm kind of looking forward to the episode in which O'Reilly's little producer friend stalks him and sticks a mic into his cancer-silenced mug.

For reals, in the last year or so, Ebert has become one of my favorite bloggers. His writing has never been so free.

That mouse quote is actually a ripoff of a quote Jimmy Cayne used to rip Tim Geithner in House of Cards. Only in Jimmy's telling it was a flea. Maybe it's an old-people proverb.

Does anyone else think that Ebert losing the ability to speak has freed his mind in some fashion? Or maybe, like Daredevil, losing one ability has led to improvement in other abilities such as writing?

Not that it justifies it, but Mariotti didn't say that out of nowhere - he was responding to Ebert's withering article about Mariotti's moral shortcomings that was printed a week or two ago in the Tribune.
