    When did the Modern Orthodox start converting exclusively for marriage? I say that because Ivanka's conversion seemed fast compared to other Orthododx conversions I'm familiar with. Does anyone actually believe that Ivanka will still pretend to be Jewish even if there's a divorce? I still see her dress sexy so I don't know what kind of conversion it was. The whole conversion and wedding seem non-kosher. #weddings

    @brittneylee: All of these conversions for marriage , no matter how long they take, are faulty since the reason for the conversion is the marriage. I stand by my earlier comments that Ivanka had plenty of chances as a New Yorker to join the tribe. #weddings

This week's wedding was good for the Jews. Not everyone was as a great of a Jew as Staci Zemlak, Eytan Kenter but they did the best they could.

    I don't know who those nutty Brits have coming and going in their halls of freedom, but if Margaret Thatcher is a code red alert, thank God I am in America . #weddings

    I love the Ivanka/Jared story. It gives me faith someday I can meet a cute guy, fall in love, move across the country to try to make him miss me, buy new tits while I'm there, come back, break up with him a couple of times, console him through his dad's felony, convert to Judaism to try to close the sale and on a sunny fall afternoon, marry the shit out of him at my bankrupt Dad's golf course.

    Shane Wilson and Jessica Manners look like really nice kids, and were a lovely counterpoint to the two royals - I read nothing of Ivanka et ux past the headline, and that was more than enough.

    Bet they spent more - a lot more - on the prenup than Wilson and Manners spent on their whole wedding #weddings

    Boo on the zaftig shot! Commentary on the usual criteria is snarky fun, but when looks start to get factored in, it borders on mean-spirited -- they aren't celebrities after all.

    Update: I just realized her weight was relevant to the announcement but I still think she should be called "formerly zaftig."
