IIRC, back in the early '80s, Iggy voiced his approval of Reagan and spoke of the virtues of liberty being ascendant over those of equality. If you want paragons of virtue and consistency, pick a religion and study its dead saints.

I couldn't tell if that was a very dick move, or just very rock 'n roll.

Isn't there a old showbiz superstition that says it's in fact bad luck to wish someone "Good luck" when they're about to go on - hence the saying, "Break a leg"?

I think so...I wouldn't have personally said it and my friend didn't know any better, but I thought it was definitely a response one would expect to hear from Iggy Pop.

11) I'm sure people have heard of vinyl. Maybe some have even listened to Iggy Pop on vinyl! I have!
2) So your point is that . . . because MPEGs exist, anything goes?
3) The commercial is a piece of crap. It would be a piece of crap if my Nana was in it. The fact that it's your god just makes it even crappier because my Nana never claimed to nor has an obligation to be cool or interesting.
4) If you'd opened with this comment rather than the "Oh, you kids! Oh you shits!" business I'd be halfway convinced that you weren't just using this as an opportunity to play the Bitter Old who thinks he knows better about everything.

@FreddieBietzsche: @Ratta: I saw him open for Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders years ago in Vancouver. He ROCKED, we swooned. Chrissie came out in a cloud of dry ice, sang something, then said "Wait a second, I have to kiss the ground Iggy Pop walked on"; she knelt down and kissed the stage. Ha!
