One of those wackos on Faux Noise was speaking with the reporter who gave us all these insights into Failin' Palin, and offered the opinion the fault lay with the preppers; "I mean, she's not dumb." Neither of them offered any evidence for the statement, which is typical of their channel.

Astounding. It's up to the prep team to teach her elementary school geography.

The really frightening thing about Palin is how quickly she resorted to whipping the crowds into a frenzy utilizing the McCarthyistic tactics of guilt by association - and very flimsy association at that. The implications that Obama was un-American in his associations and the way he views America - the talk about parts of the country being 'pro-America' (as if there were parts that aren't) - simply reeked of McCarthyism. And, considering her and her husband's associations with the Alaska Independence Party, which wants to secede from America, her accusations take a lot of chutzpah. Interesting, though, that when she levels accusations it's part of the 'rough and tumble' political game; but when the same tactics are used on her, it's unfair and those folks are 'jerks' or sexist. If she can be so easily convinced to become the incarnation of Joe McCarthy in her first national political foray, I'd hate to see her have any national power. It's a shame she's in denial about dragging down McCain's campaign because it's nationally agreed by a majority and polls that she was the main deterrent to a McCain vote.

It's 2012, Joe the Plumber's autobiography has spawned a series of 15-minute working class phenomena -- Wanda the Waitress, Shawn the Soccer Mom -- and the GOP strikes back with its idea of a majority sweep: middle class economics coupled with Christian values. Now that's cynical.

It's a shame that Americans are still so taken by style over substance. So much of the blather about her concerns her pulchritude. However, her subsequent performance after being chosen by Senator McCain as his running mate has been abysmal. She's shown conclusively that beauty and shallowness can indeed walk hand in hand, repeatedly. We're talking about a person who could've been Vice President of the United States! Why did a seasoned politician even consider someone like Governor Palin in the first place? She didn't understand that Africa was a continent? Are gaffes like this surprising? McCain took some incredibly bad advice somewhere along the line and it will continue to cost the Republican Party dearly. Oh, well. Finally, the voters did something sensible. After eight years of chaos, it looks like things might shape up a bit.

Palin will now hold a press conference in the Alaska wild, away from the pesky media elites.

"Senator Obama sees this country as so imperfect that neither of his children are in the military. He's too busy to drive them to the recruiter because he's palling around with Bill Ayers and forging ballots with ACORN.

I love both my countries of Alaska and the Lower 48 also and that's why I shipped Track off to Iraq as soon as he was done vandalizing those school buses."

This will end with a barrage of winking and eyebrow moving, and Rich Lowry will keel over, burning with (unconsummated?) lust.

If I were ever running for Vice President, I could get the Africa thing right, having taken an African course in undergrad but I would fail miserably with the Kansas City thing (how many? and where is it? NOT Kansas? What?) and the rectangle states. I was on 538 the other day going, "Is this Montana? or is that Montana? Wait. If this is Montana, what's this over here? Such as..."

God, where was she when I was in law school? With her providing fodder for the bottom of the curve, I could be running the UN right now if not the entire world. I'm sending a strongly worded letter to my law school right now and demanding that my class rank be increased by at least 10% due to the fact that I am way f'ing smarter than the republican VP candidate and current Alaskan govenor.
