BRO I TOTALLY DO NOT BELIEVE THIS SHIT, BRO, I USE STEROIDS EVERY DAY AND I'M FINE, BRO, I'LL RIP YOUR HEAD OFF IF YOU SAY DIFFERENT, BRO, JUST KIDDING, BRO, BUT SERIOUSLY BRO STEROIDS ARE THE BOMB BRO BRO BRO.
BRO.
I don't recall anyone at Gawker asking me permission to publish my photo.
And I don't take steroids. I don't eat carbs. I do extreme Pilates and am a yoga freak.
In this picture I was just a little chilled and my Speedo's were riding up on me, necessitating the use of the black gloves that anyone would use if they didn't take steroids, did extreme Pilates, and were a yoga freak.
You know, there just aren't enough uses for purple cock-sacks. I'm thinking you could store a change purse in there, maybe a Motorola cellular phone, sea monkeys, Werthurs candies, testicular cancer...
Endless possibilities.
Which got me thinking, extensive steroid use seems to make a man's junk get smaller and woman's junk get larger. Strange, no? Doesn't really seem like something either sex would want?
@Airvault: I'm really frightened that he would do surgery on himself to remove whatever this gyno lump is. He has money for 'roids but can't pay for care at the hospital?
@MissNormaDesmond: It's news because the scientific study is new, I guess. Studies often just seem to reaffirm what seems obvious, but was never "proven" until the study. Plus, the NYT *said* it was news!
@dontread: I sincerely doubt there were no studies on this prior to now. I take people's point that diuretic abuse is a confounding factor, but really, how can people imagine that pouring massive amounts of an obviously powerful biochemical into their systems isn't going to have side effects?
@MissNormaDesmond: You are likely right, but this will be a new study with a minor variant. It isn't really news, but because there are lots of Science-feeds, announcing every single new study that comes out on a daily basis, it gets reported on.
I found this link, e.g., [www.sciencedaily.com] ,which is the likely source of the NYT and other news papers reporting this. They all do their best to exploit the studies for all of their media potential! It is entertainment at the end of the day. The Science Daily link actually came out about 6 weeks ago (Oct. 30), so the NYT, is way behind the curve on this one in fact.
@raincoaster: True 'dat. The steroids rob your organs (brain, kidneys, liver, gnads) in order to build skeletal muscle in a manner that mimics disease. This is why so many steroid users develop bizarre-o cancers later in life. (Remember Lyle Alzado in the 70s and 80s? Brain tumors from steroid use.) The 'roids will ruin you.
@raincoaster: And, as you know, that's not all. Bad breath, backne, 'roid rage, potential damage to the liver and other organs as well as the kidney, and muscles becoming large and strong for the bones underlying them. I'm sure I'm missing something else, too.
