My family invented the Who Drinking Game: every time they say "Who" you take a shot. They say it 18 times in the theme song, which they sing three times during the show. Nobody ever remembers how it ends.

How we forget the most politically pointed Christmas special of all: The Star Wars Holiday Special. Its tale of how one Wookie family's Life Day was almost ruined by a government encroaching on its civil liberties is more relevant now than ever before.

I think "Rudolph's Shiny New Year" deserves a mention as well, since it and its freaky Archipelago of Last Year may very well be the foundation and inspiration for "Lost." Charles Widmore and Ben Linus are just human stand-ins for Rudolph and Eon the Buzzard and the island's inhabitants are their Baby New Year...or something.

I have fond memories of the Heat Miser (best song in a musical Christmas special ever), but had no memory of the plot that it sprung out of. That is one convoluted plot.

Does anyone remember "'Twas the Night Before Christmas?" Joel Grey is in it, and the gist of it is Santa is a DICK who skips giving presents to a whole town because one little boy doesn't believe in him. Clocks are involved in ways I can't recall. The moral is basically to not use evidence to prove things right or wrong, but to believe in shit in spite of yourself. Then all of your dreams will come true. It's a horrible lesson. But "Muppet Family Christmas" is the best. Watch out for the icy patch!

Obviously this was a societal statement about the national fiber crisis that hit in the mid 1980's, and so, of course, Motowning raisins could cure all that ailed the American colon.
