I'm almost glaring in my senior picture, but i'm still with the guy i went out with the day after my 21st birthday, almost 18 years later, and before you hurt yourself doing the math, i'm 38. So suck on that.

great. I didn't glower in my yearbook photo, but I was the moody, arty type - and the last guy I dated told me I should have a tattoo on my ass stating "if you can read this, you may already be too close" - I'M DOOMED !!! DOOMED I TELL YOU !!!

Most people I know hated high school,no matter how much they smiled in their yearbook pictures.

I would posit an alternative hypothesis to explain these results: successfully married people are better at pretending they're happy. It makes just as much sense as this asinine study.

We didn't have quotes in my yearbook, but I seem to remember that I had a sort of half-smile and somewhat skeptical expression. And here I am!

Also...I lost all my yearbooks sometime in my 20s amid my many moves and didn't notice for quite a while. What does that mean? I'm not sentimental, perhaps?

I had an Orwell quote, It's fatal to look hungry, it makes people want to kick you, and I didn't show up to have my picture taken. This might lead to the scientific conclusion that I'm an unhappy serial killer, but really, I'm very content with my glorious work.

My high school quotes were "Don't dream it, be it" from Rocky Horror and "Nothing is achieved without enthusiasm" by Ralph Waldo Emerson. I also used the word "Ganong" because it used to make me giggle uncontrollably, and is right now. I'm not married.
