    @Rozelle’s Bagman: I don't know because I've seen no one making it clear, but I'm interpreting these as coming from the whole metro area. The person getting sports scores and those doing other daily things could've been in an unaffected, outlying area.

    @TheCaliDude: Dude. African religions always taught that the greatest honor available was to be remembered.

    Think about that the next time you watch tv on cable and Pharoah says to strike the "the very mention" of whomever from the history books.

    As long as we remember them, they are still alive. They just moved to Podunk, Kansas. When I retire there I'll joke with the two of them about how fast they could leave a club when they found a trick, but were too slow at work.

    Just be happy, I suppose you didn't sign a billion year contract. :o)

    @lil red: Yeah, the CNN story went over the top and into idiot oldline publishing asshole land with their qualified language on this one, too. "Web site posts what it says are half million text messages from 9/11..." [Emphasis added.] Seriously, CNN? SERIOUSLY?

    The totality of the messages is its own fact-check, in this instance.

    A young woman approached me at a street fair or something to sign this friggin petition. I looked at her and was like, are you a Truther or something? She was like, no I'm not. This is just a petition for further investigation into 9/11. I'm like what more is there to investigate? Maybe catch Bin Laden, let's investigate that. And I wanted to read whatever was on her clipboard and she was looking nervous about. But who wants to stand there and read crap when you're out in the heat in the middle of a street fair eating some COrn King?

    She had a lot of signatures, mostly, I think, to make these people leave them alone with their shish-kabobs.
