Ok. So is this when we decide to put a "jack" on Ad Age for calling us lowbrow? 'Cause, honestly, I'll knock a bitch up with a realness in my smush, yo.
@raincoaster: I hardly ever watch TV anymore. If it's not on Hulu, onDemand, cbs.com or clipped on a blog, I doubt that I'll ever see it.
Of course that means I have to wait until the next day for 30 Rock , until after midnight for HIMYM and I don't get to see the Daily Show or Colbert until around 2AM (local time), but so be it.
ETA: Now I'm off to watch the last ten episodes of my ten-seasons over ten months, 204(?) episode odyssey through Stargate SG-1
Oh, and congrats Gawker!
I agree with your ranking.
@raincoaster: Personally, I'll only watch properly licensed, legal content, and I'd prefer to do it all in one sitting, without having to piece together stuff from eight minute bits. Not to mention that I'd rather spread myself over several websites, rather than put all my eggs in any one basket.
Perhaps contrary to that last sentence, I used to watch most of my content through the individual networks, but I also like the Hulu queue. That way, when one of my subscribed programs is new, it'll show up in my list and I don't have to go hunting for it.
@raincoaster: Yeah, they really should try to do something about foreign licensing, but other than "foreign" companies putting together their own Hulu-like site to serve content which they have licensed, I really don't know what else could be done.
I mean, somebody owns the European or Australian rights and they could easily stream the content; they might even be able to license the Hulu interface, but whomever owns those rights sure doesn't want someone else stepping on their claim.
@Magister: No, that's not the way it works. Hulu has only ever dealt with US content in the US because that's its business model. It's not waiting for other countries to license their material to it.
@raincoaster: I meant that Hulu doesn't own foreign rights, so I'm under the impression that it would be up to the foreign rightsholder to stream US-original content. And, if there is no foreign rightsholder, Hulu would have to become one to stream outside of their licensed geographic.
I'm a conservative but do I have to tune into any of this shit? Or pretend to be even remotely entertained? Is the campaign on 24/7, 365 days a year now? How drunk does a man need to get to avoid this shit?
@Ohcaptainmycaptain: I don't know, Captain. If I were conservative and had a listen to how my views were represented and by whom, I wouldn't have enough liver for the drunk I'd need to be.
