If she were truly hardcore and that obsessed with the show, she should have busted her ass trying to get on the staff or better yet, fake some CBC credentials and VIP-smooth her way in.
The fact that she now regrets not spending that time with her family is really reflective on her priorities in life and not so much the fallacies of the TDS staff. Jeez.

Nothing a little tort law can't solve!

And I call bullshit. That bar doesn't serve Bud Light in cans.

Shorty after I moved here I took in all the free entertainment I could by attending tapings of Letterman, Conan, Stewart and Colbert (I went to a taping of the third show ever).
I could write a book on the weird way each show treats their audience. From Letterman's show hand picking who gets to sit where based on how they will look on television (all others were single file or first come, first serve), to the laid back style of Conan's staff until a tourist snapped a picture and had their camera confiscated -- which would be available for pick up the next afternoon. The pleas of the tourist, who was flying out the next morning, did not seem to sway security.
It took the longest to get tickets for Stewart and this was in 2004-2005. I know exactly the bar Johnson is talking about because, other than car dealerships, it's the only thing anywhere near Stewart's studio on 11th Ave.

My wife once caught Live with Regis and Kathy Lee in the mid-90s and witnessed a commecial break freak-out by Kathy Lee. I'm sure she would have paid at least $20 for tickets to that.

Next step: Restraining order.

No one individual performer has had more of an influence on my comedic sensibilities than Jon Stewart. Since 1994, I've consumed every ounce of his work. He always... [bunch of reasons she lurves him]
These were not my reasons for becoming a fan when I was 15. But I can't think of a better accidental role model to have had for the latter half of my life.
I could write an entire book on my emotional philosophies of comedy, and how incredible it is that human beings have an ability to even do this. Stephen Colbert became another unexpected idol when I witnessed him bring my own philosophies to life. After years of watching him on the Daily Show, I encountered his "real" self ... It remains overwhelming to witness today when I have the opportunity to attend Report tapings.

All of this stuff about "philosophies" and "sensibilities," closely following everything all their work, repeatedly going to their appearances in comedy clubs and show tapings (from Toronto!), getting to know show staff (from Toronto!), seeing them as "role models" (and not just for comedy, for the whole of her life), having veritably rapturous expectations for the show...
This poor woman is clearly disturbed.

Ewwww. And I'm sure she hopes to be able to write that sentence without the word "work".
