    @Mediahohoho: Maybe in your infinite wisdom, you can give us an example of "free floating rage and racial and class resentment" that applies to this article. The reason that I ask this is because I don't think that you actually watch O'Reilly. I do, although not religiously. I don't see a lot of what you are floating out here.

I've seen plenty of O'Reilly to know the filth he peddles and I stand by my statement, both about him and about conservatives in general, especially of the pundit variety.

    Candidly, Bill O'Reilly doesn't comment or report for Fox News, he reminisces or uses his unwieldy neanderthal's club of a brain to bludgeon the reality of today into the sort of nostalgic, retro-conservative framework that has zero tolerance for ambiguity or dissenting opinion. That O'Reilly imagines himself a mental giant assailed by teeming swarms of intellectual lilliputians almost goes without saying, and viewed properly is more- not less- amusing for pumping O'Reilly with the sort of pompous, bombastic jingoism we've perversely come to enjoy in Fox's talking headcases. We want O'Reilly shouting, gesticulating and foaming at the mouth. We already don't take O'Reilly seriously- why not have the theater of a possible blown aorta in the bargain?

    @Zanybrainy: Isn't FOX and Rupert known for utterly crushing anyone who annoys them? I have my doubts the guy would out Shep even if he thought he was gay for fear of reprisals. Shep may have left less of a trail than Spacey too, so author might thinks he's gay but not be 100% sure enough to imply it the way he did with Spacey.
