Mr. Bookish L. calls these the "woo people," because they are always yelling woo! when they are having their fun.

I am in Times Square all the time and consider the woo people part of the habitat, like woodland creatures in the forest. Therefore, they do not annoy me. I am more irked by the loss of cheap coffee shops, dry cleaners that do cheap repair work, and the dirty bookstores that used to carry my porn writing.

@BookishLookish: Ugh, woo people, even in Fort Worth Texas we have 'em. Bars close at 2:00am so between 2:05 and 2:20am the douche set all wander around post-bar mingling or looking for their cars and all emit a "Woooo!!!" to express how awesome that Shiner Bock was... randomly some little bitch will eek out a "waaaoo!" followed by the sound of broken glass, but that's likely the appletini talking. As a 15-year resident of downtown I have never been able to get used to this. Amazing how that's transcended from Times Square to a place like this and likely everywhere in between. Do people in Montana have to put up with this bullshit?

@lobstr: Heh, we call em, "woo toobin'" people. From a tubing trip to New Braunfels in which the same group stayed in front of us the whole time yelling, "woo! Tubin'! Beer!" WHILE THEY WERE TUBING AND DRINKING BEER.

people do very similar things in times square all the time!! i've never murdered any of them but i have shoved them, hard. i hope none of them were actually deaf and really unable to hear me saying excuse me prior to shoving??
