Ha, this is the tech version of "Mom Bloggers go to the Frito-Lay Baked Treats Launch" - free trip to LA and everyone gets a little publicity out of it. Hey, good for Lunch!
This 'think tank' is hilarious, as I am pretty sure from an ontological perspective, that none of these beings actually *can* think... So! Where does that leave us?? We can consider them gluttonous and gelatinous objects worthy of scorn for a start! I for one would like to see proof of sentience before any upgrades are performed, as to the 'kind' of objects we are speaking about.
@Ryan Tate: actually that's a good question. I assume that Julia/Meghan don't pay for it with all the schilling they do. Julia/Megahn are (supposedly) friends with Sara. So I assume they got her free ones too. Somehow I can't see fatty Arrington drinking that stuff at $85/bottle but he might try if free & in front of him. Then allowing Sara to post on TC basically a whore post about the product is the same thing he eviscerated Julia for doing with SeaWorld.
I kind of like Julia. I mean, she has balls. She takes all this criticism and still tries to go after fame, fortune or whatever it is that she is trying to accomplish.
Oh yeah.. I do hate that hair color on her. It's too red or something.
@Adiphyte: They are all nice enough. It's just that most of them have no technical background whatsoever. They may be fans of technology, but they are not technologists. It's like having a Star Trek convention where nobody associated with the show is there, just people who watched it.
And for the most part these people aren't journalists either. The blogging phenomena propelled these people to a level of attention they didn't really deserve. A situation that I suspect won't last a whole lot longer.
