Dunno where my comment went, but I'm now wondering why posts from Jezebel show up on the main page with the (Jezebel) blacked out entirely, like some IT dude's attempt at witness protection. Is it because I'm banned there, or because I've been promoted to a stratospheric level of commenter influence and can now ban Gawker sites altogether?

I want to be 10 and ride my bike to the 7-Eleven, but then how would I get my slurpee home? The closest one to me is the type of place you want to hang out to drink a 40 of MD 20/20, not a slurpee.

Gee... I just stopped by my 7-11 and the guy at the counter unapologeticlly informed me that they are not participating in free slurpee day. How could a 7-11 not participate? I feel very inconvenienced by this convenience store.

well, i guess since the only 7-11 in brooklyn (according to google) is in rockaway fucking beach nearly, i'll have to make do with gin. speaking of convenience/fast food joints and gin, if you're near a sonic, i highly recommend buying a rt66 cherry limeade. dump/drink 1/4 to 1/2, and then fill up with gin. gin & sonics are the wave of the future. i guess you can do this with a free slurpee too but i can't think of a hilarious name for that.

I stopped by my small-town 7-Elven an hour ago, and it wasn't busy. Still, when I grabbed the free Slurpee cup, I heard one of the cashiers mutter to the other one "This is ridiculous," then complain about somebody who came in twice for free Slurpees.

Know what? SCREW YOU, WAGE SLAVE! I'm an American, and I have a God-given right to a free Slurpee, so I'm taking it.

i have no problems with the overhaul, but how many channels did these changes have to filter through before being ultimately approved? i just hope whatever consultants were outsourced to dream up this streamlined system weren't, IN FACT, moles from Abrams Research - because this all REEKS of sabotage, what with the noticeably lower comment counts and all.
